Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. It is all about connection! If you’re struggling to connect with your adoptive, foster, or biological child(ren) or teen, TBRI may be for you.

TBRI® uses Empowering, Connecting, and Correcting Principles to address physical needs and attachment needs, and to disarm fear-based behaviors. This intervention is based on years of research in attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience.

Trauma most often occurs in relationship…and trauma heals within the context of a healthy relationship. Within the safety of a warm, predictable, playful parent-child relationship is where your child’s relational trauma will heal. Therefore, I will empower you to be a trust-based caregiver to your child.

Whether you are fostering, have adopted, are working toward reunification, are in crisis, are managing secondary trauma responses, and/or are struggling to connect with your biological child, I will create a space for exploring your own history, trying new strategies, taking courageous steps, and creating new rhythms and routines. There is hope! Your relationship with your child is not too far gone. I look forward to working together.

Check out this video for more information. Or contact me today to see whether TBRI might be a good fit for you and your family.
